Practical jokes spice things up at Sprucelands.

Dining hall in reverse. The mole strikes again.
A year ago the mole was in camp. That means there was one person who engineered practical jokes. All session long - third session - strange things were happening.

The silverware disappeared in the lodge. Pitchforks were hidden. Sneaky small things happened on a daily basis to make everyone wonder who the mole was. In fact, the mole collaborated with Hill Parents to make sure anything that happened was not offensive to persons in camp.

At the DVD showing on the last night of the session, the mole was revealed. It was big doings. There were three names nominated as possible mole masterminds. And when the individual was revealed, it was the person who only had one person in all of camp who suspected her.

Well, this year the mole is at work again. Whomever it is started out with a big bang. I came into the lodge for a meal last week and the entire seating and buffet table had been reversed. Can you tell in the photo?

The buffet table was on the end by the fireplace. All the fireplace chairs were on the far end near the etch-a-sketch board. The staff table was in front of the kitchen. It felt really, really weird because I guess you would say our perceptions were different. That of course is what we've talked about often this summer, the whole concept of perception.

So this put a different twist on viewpoint and introduced us all to the idea that the mole was back. Of course, we have no idea who it is. That's where we get into wondering just who might be fooling us with their careful planning. Hmmm. I wonder who the mole could be. Maybe we will find out soon because tomorrow night is DVD night. Meanwhile, the drama continues.

Comments from you make my day.
