Sprucelands tag night is the best.

Run! Get them! Run! 'Cmon!
Monday night was tag night. Yup. It was nearly 90 degrees with high humidity and the kids played tag. It didn't seem to matter one iota that it was a hot night. They apparently needed to run and wanted to run, so run they did.

I'm not going to make this post very long. I can say they gathered for directions to three or four different variations of tag: doctor tag, toilet tag, blob tag, you name it tag!! Anything that required running seemed and seems to appeal to this bunch.

Directions are the essence of a successful evening program.
Lia and Jeff were the CIT/Counselor team who ran evening program. They did a whopper of a job. Made the kids listen to directions so everyone was on the same page. And then they turned the kids loose. Whoo-eeee!

Of course, by the end of an hour everyone was flopping lazily in the grass, huffing and puffing and laughing with exhaustion from another silly evening of fun. They did manage their closing circle with a good night squeeze that went by hand from one to another. Three songs were song as is the tradition every night after evening program, and then there was a bit of socializing before bed.

Nothing like a good run in the heat to test our stamina!
Ah bed! It's usually a welcome respite at the end of a wonderful day at Sprucelands.

Comment if you like. I love hearing from you.
